The Gardner’s came over to watch the football game Giants vs. 49er’s. Giants are going to the Superbowl! Mason, Spencer and Jenna had fun playing games.-Mason got an award at school for working so hard on his handwriting. -Easton and I were going to run some errands, I was putting some stuff in the car when I heard Easton scream for me.I turn around and he is hanging from the garage door. He had grabbed onto the bottom and had rode all the way to the top til it stopped. Scared us both to death! The best part is the way he tells the story. “I float, float, float, way up high on the garage”. -Carson came home from school like this and told me him and his friends decided to be “Nerds” and that they had learned the electric slide and the Macarena then he started dancing for me. -Carson and Easton love making snow forts. -We had a repairman come work on the central vac. Easton was so excited he had a drill like the “worker guy”.-Jaxon fouled out in his basketball game.(pictured with Pat Zahn, Dom and Jared Fuller)

Week Three

-This week we made the decision that we need to down size and we put our house up for sale. We all feel really good about this and feel it will be a good change for our family.-Easton loves to be like his big brothers and have me pack him a lunch in his“Transformers Lunch Pack”, he puts on his back pack and is ready to go! -Mason got hit with the flu bug this week and missed a day of school. -Parent teacher conferences for Mason and Carson. They both got pretty good reports and are finally getting help where needed. -I found Easton in the basement bathroom getting drinks for all of his imaginary friends. - My favorite purchase when we had Easton was this diaper caddy. It finally fell apart and was thrown away. -We went up to Morgan with the Gardners and met our Ragnar friend Cami and her husband Dave for dinner.

Easton’s first time in Sunbeams! I can’t believe my baby is in Primary! Cake Pops are a new family favorite treat. Happy 41st Birthday Jim! he was home with the flu all day. Jim and Jaxon went to the Jazz game. One morning Eastom informed me the stairs were just to hard! Thank Heavens for Mr Clean Erasers. Easton drew on the wall with a pen so after I explain we only draw on paper he exclaims “Oh, I Got It, We only Draw on Paper!” He is so funny. Tepanyaki for Jims Birthday Dinner! YUM!

I think this year I am going to focus on a week in review and not so much a picture everyday, So here goes! I love starting the year off with the Pepiot’s, but not so much the goodbyes! Carson made Mac n’ Cheese for lunch. Who said you need snow to have fun on a sled? Snow Finally! The boys love Air Soft Wars and can play for hours with their awesome neighborhood friends. Carson thought it was Hilarious I would actually push him around Sam’s Club on the cart with Easton! Jaxon started Basketball both rec. and Comp. on the same day.

Making a Change!

Carson turned 11 last month! He is an amazing boy and has had some trials in his life. He always has in mind how his decisions will affect others.
Carson has loved playing baseball.
He has loved his teammates

Most of all he has loved having his Dad as coach.

Carson has wanted to play Hockey for a few years. We knew it would be alot to play Hockey and Competitive baseball. So he would have to make a hard choice between 2 good things. He did not only think of himself he thought of his team "Who would coach them?" He thought of his Dad "He loves coaching the Barons". We assured Carson it was ok to do what would truly make HIM happy.

After alot of thinking Carson has decided to give baseball a break and Hockey a try!

HE LOVES IT!

He does not complain about the 7:15 Saturday morning practices that we have to leave for at 6:30 a.m.

He willingly handed over all the money in his wallet to pay for his jersey.

(we didn't even suggest that he had to pay for hockey)

We had Jaxon's end of season team party last night. Easton had to be just like all the big boys. With little coaxing he climbed up on the board and jumped in.

after a couple of jumps he was shivering so bad it was a miracle he even stayed on the diving board. No Fear! but it did give him a little comfort to have someone there just in case.

It is always cool to watch a baseball game and see back to back homeruns.

It may have been supporting fundraisers or cheering him on!

It was great to hear from so many loved ones back home checking in to see how games were going or to know you were cheering him on through the computer screens! It was also fun to have loved ones cheering him on at the ball park. Jaxon was lucky to have his grandparents join us on our trip.

We were thrilled that so many on our New York relatives took the time to travel and support Jaxon. (Grandma Knight, Ken, Nancy, Tony, Kristen,Jeff, Sue,Easton, Natalie, Carson,Grandpa Knight, Dan, Lori, Jim. front- Mason and Jaxon) We love the time we get to spend with them which is never enough.

Dan and Lori were passing through the area and stopped to see one of Jaxon's games.

Sue and Jeff came and stayed Saturday- Monday with us. Mason even tried to convince them to move to Utah because we don't get to see them enough.

Tony, Kristen, Nancy and Ken camped in the area for a few days.

It was great to spend time with family.

Play Ball!

For the next 4 days we spent it at the ball park with 2 games a day.
What a good looking group of boys! They worked so hard to get to Cooperstown. This has been a team goal for about 3-4 years.

The great coaches that helped get the there.

If you know Jaxon, you know he does not just love baseball, it is his Passion! Cooperstown was like a dream come true for him.

The Bandits won 5 of their 8 games.

Ouch! Ben took a pick off ball to first base in the eye. He took the day off and was back playing the next day.

Opening Ceremonies

Saturday we were able to just hang out until the Opening Ceremonies that evening. Once we got to the fields it was ALOT of waiting.
And buying treats to pass the time

The festivites began with the American Flag being flown in by parchuters.

Then all 104 teams coming onto the field.

Best looking team of them all!

There were 2 teams from Canada. They got to sing the Canadian Anthem.

To finish up the festivites they had skills competions. The golden arm, home run derby, around the horn and the road runner. Jaxon got to particpate in the around the horn with some of his teammates.

It was a fun filled day.

Blue Heron at Waters Edge

We rented a house in the town of Oneonta just outside of Cooperstown. It sat right on Lake Goodyear. It was beautiful!
The boys loved the lake. They couldn't swim in the lake but we had access to a paddle boat and a canoe. They had a blast.

Easton kept asking to "go on the boat race!" everytime he wanted to go to the boats.

Jaxon didn't get to spend much time on the lake. He spent all of his time including sleeping and meals at the Dreams Park. So he was only at the house for a short time each day if at all.

Jim was a good sport to play in the boats with the boys each day.

Upstairs had 4 good sized bedrooms. So we all had our own rooms and Jim's cousin Sue and her husband Jeff came and stayed a couple days with us.

If you can see the deer in the middle of this picture. It would come up closer to the house at night but we were at the ball park but Grandma Jones saw it twice in the backyard.

After a busy week in the city it was nice to have such a relaxing place to enjoy between games.

So some people think I will forget the rest of our trip, so because of their inpatience.

What an adventure Jim got to drive in New York City! He did a mighty fine job.

We drove across the George Washington bridge to get out of Manhattan. That began our day of driving about 5 hours to Cooperstown and these are the only pictures I have of that day. So hang in there I really will post the rest of our trip. (even if my BFF has lost faith in me, just sayin.)

I have not forgotten the most important part and reason for our trip to New York. No I have not but this week has been crazy busy with more baseball, the Bandits are playing awesome I might add, and next week is Jonesfest. One of the most anticipated events of the trip!!!!
We arrived at the Stadium! Easton decided to fall asleep in my arms while waiting for the Subway and slept almost 2 hours in my arms being carried. So I was grateful to arrive at the stadium but still had to carry him 3/4 of the way around it to get to our seats. Jim took the boys to check things out.

We were hoping Jeter would have a good hitting night so we could see him hit 3000. Unfortunately, He didn't come through for us but the crowd went crazy everytime he got up to hit.

What is more fun than the Yankees game? Being there with friends and family. Most of the Bandits and there families were there and all of our seats were pretty close. So the boys all had friends to hang out with.

We were so excited Sue, Jeff and Mark were able to come to the game with us!

Day 5- Part 2- Battery Park & Ground Zero

Battery Park is where you catch the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. We got off the ferry after our visit to Liberty Island and there were some street performers that fasinated Mason and he insisted we stop to watch.

They picked Mason to come up and be in their final stunt. He thought it was AWESOME!

The boys got to ride in a real NYC taxi. What an experience. Grandma and Grandpa Knight took Jaxon and Carson in one taxi and the rest of us went in another and met up at Ground Zero.

Ground Zero is pretty much a construction site. It is fenced off with this blue covering around it. So to get a good view we went into the World Financial Center to the Winter Garden area and they have a viewing area.

Carson and Mason were very interested in what happened on 9-11-2001. So I told them how I had just returned from my morning walk with my BFF Shannon and she called and told me to turn on the news because the country was under attack and for the next week we were glued to the news. I told them how Jaxon (who was only 3 at the time) kept asking why that plane kept crashing into buildings. It is amazing how some events you never forget most of the details. I can't imagine how it would have been to be in that area on that day.

Day 5- Part 1- Lady Liberty

I will have to say this day was long but It was my favorite day in the city. We caught the Subway to Battery Park, picked up our tickets we reserved 3 months ago, went through the airport style security and got on the Statue Cruise ferry to get out to Liberty Island. All by 9:00 am.
The Statue of Liberty was amazing. It was so cool to get off the ferry and get up close to the statue.
Months ago we reserved tickets for the Crown (which just reopened this year since 9-11). There were resrictions on crown tickets (4 tickets per household in a 6 month time period) Though we could have gotten enough tickets to get us all up in except Easton due to his age. The Grandparents and I decided not to attempt it.

We just had a great time sitting in the shade and enjoying the view.

It was a very hot and Humid day. I had heard it was miserably hot to go up in the crown so as we waited I became more and more concerned that I would have a bunch of cranky boys after the experience.

Much to my relief. The crown, despite the heat, was the highlight of the excursion. Although Mason said it would have been much better had there have been an escalator. I think I might send them that suggestion.

We decided to eat lunch on the Island due to the long line for the ferry. By the time we got on the ferry it was 1:00 so we did not get off at Ellis Island because we had a very full day.

Day 4

Today we checked alot of things off our list we wanted to do, but it was most of your typical tourist stuff. We started the day off by taking the subway to the Empire State Building to save some walking. The Lines were long and it was crowded! The boys thought it was cool but were happy to be done with it.

When we finally came out of the building we were all hungry so we made a quick stop at McDonald's. I am generally not a fan of McD's but we quickly found the one meal our family could eat in NY city for $20. 2/ 20 piece chicken nuggets, 2 large fries, 2 large drinks. This was ont the only time in the city we had this for lunch.With bellies full and everyone a little happier. We headed out to catch the bus.

Jaxon wanted to see Madison Square Garden. So Jim took Jaxon and Carson for a quick walk to check it out. They were doing some construction so they just looked around for a few minutes.

but it was enough for Jaxon.

They caught back up with the rest of us at the bus stop. We got on the hop on hop off bus for the downtown tour.

It started to rain while we were on the bus. Mason and Easton thought the rain ponchos they gave us were pretty cool.

After a long hot and Humid day. We headed back to our hotel. We made a quick stop at a place called Rays Pizza for dinner. We definately liked Luigis better. We went to the hotel and relaxed for a bit then Jim and I got a way for a bit to run in Central Park. Which was the highlight of my day.

We loved how when you get into the park it was rather relaxing.

Day 3

Tuesday we went to the Manhattan Temple. It was cool to see the meeting house on the 3rd floor. Jaxon and Jim and some of our baseball friends went and did Baptisms for the Dead. It was a great experience.

After the Temple we met up at the Museum of Natural History. We were pretty disappointed but I am sure the 4th of July crowds didn't help matters. It was hard to find your way around, the elevators were so slow and with a stroller not many other options and it was NOTHING like the movie which Jim and I anticipated but the kids were very disappointed.

We still managed to find some cool things.

After the Museum and a long wait for the Hop on Hop off bus we took the uptown bus tour.

After the bus tour we went to a Harry Potter Exhibition and saw a lot of original movie props followed with dinner at Planet Hollywood. We then headed over to the Rockefeller Center to go to the Top of the Rock.

We had about a 30 minute wait so we wasted time wandering around.

It was very cool seeing all the city lights at night. It was a long day. We always enjoy the trival info we learn from the bus tours. We took the Subway back to our hotel and again we were EXHAUSTED!!!

Day 2- Happy 4th of July!

We started our day off in Central Park. It is huge so we decided to take a carrage ride and get an idea of what we wanted to go see. It saved us alot of time and walking.
The boys (except Jaxon) thought it was pretty cool.

after spending the morning in Central Park we headed to 5th Avenue. FAO Swartz was a must. The boys loved it. The Lego department is always cool for Carson and Mason.

Carson can never pass up a Build A Bear Workshop. We could not say no when he found the Yellow Lab he wanted to name Izer. A perfect addition to his stuffed animal collection.

Jaxon was in heaven a store full of Yankees stuff.

This was a perfect ending to a fun day. We were all so tired we attempted Carnegie Deli and quickly passed. A quick stop at Subway for sandwiches then off to Central Park for a picnic.

So a little disappointed but extremely exhausted we headed back to our hotel.

It was a great day. We watched fireworks on TV.

Let the Adventure Begin!

Our long awaited adventure arrived! We headed to the airport early Sunday July 3. The next few posts will be total picture overload. Hope you enjoy!
Finally on the "BIG AIRPLANE"!

We took a shuttle ride and arrived at our hotel. The hotel was older but well kept and the rooms were more of a suite. We had plenty of room so we cancelled Grandma Jones' room and she stayed in our room with us and the boys took turns staying with Grandma and Grandpa Knight. We loved the location of The Hotel Wellington. We were only about 2 blocks from Central Park, right between Carnegie Hall and Carnegie Deli.

Food was one of our biggest concerns in the city both because of cost and finding something the boys would eat. So we were very comforted to have a Subway restaurant next door.

We didn't ride the Subway a ton but this subway stop right outside our hotel was convienient.

We did attempt to eat at Carnegie Deli as it came highly recommended but the menu was not Knight boy friendly so we passed on it.

This is the soup restaurant the inspired the "Soup Nazi" from Seinfeld. It was about a block from our hotel.

Luigi's came highly recommended by the Bell Man at the hotel it was about 2 blocks away reasonably priced and we all loved it. We ate here a few time during our stay in the city. After we were settled in the hotel and had some dinner we decided to explore. We were just a few blocks from the heart of Times Square. Here are some of the sites!

The boys had heard alot about the Toys R Us in Times Square and it did not disappoint. This huge ferris wheel is right inside the main doors.

Easton was brave and had his picture taken by the dinosaur.

The Lego department was of course a favorite.

We also hit the M&M store, Hersheys store and a few other shops before heading back to the hotel. It was all a little overwhelming but we felt we were off to a good start.

My boys make me laugh! This is the conversation Carson and Mason had after the zoo yesterday. I am sure it is sparked by the park we drive by on our way to the zoo where alot of homeless people live.

Mason: (while playing with a transformer) I know how you can make money if you ever become a Hobo.
Carson: How?
Mason: Sell your toys.
Carson: Well I am not going to become a Hobo.
Mason: How do you know?
Carson: Because I am going to stay in school!!!!

Summer Fun!!!!

We spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa Knight or Grandpa's as Easton says because he can't say Grandma. This year it is "Zoorassic Park". They have dinosaurs throughout the zoo.

It was perfect Zoo weather. A little overcast to keep it not to hot.

Grandma and Grandpa always have a good time with the boys or maybe grandma needs to learn how to say No. But she is the Grandma so she is allowed to buy carosel tickets because Mom is way to cheap!

Easton however was a little scared of the dinosaurs!

He kept hiding behind me saying "SCARY MONSTER" but he had to keep peeking to see it.

And when you give the 10 year old the camera you end up with ALOT of pictures of Praire Dogs.

Even when he feels crappy with Pink eye he still has a smile, or maybe the smile is because he has learned to spit at his brothers! Even if it means time out, he still thinks it is funny. He will start laughing and say "I funny!" when I remind him it is not funny he very quickly says "sorry"!

The not so fun start to the summer. All 4 boys have been to the Dr. Out of control Allergies, Sinus infections, Bronchitis and Pink Eye! I am hopeful we have paid our dues to the Dr and Pharmacy for a while!

THANK YOU.

What a day! We left home at 4:00 and headed to Ogden. We caught our bus and headed towards Huntsville. Ogden Canyon on a bus in the dark, that is a weird feeling.

We arrived at the start line around 5:30. (the race starts at 7:00) The crowd kept getting bigger and bigger. Thank Heavens for the fires to keep us warm!

The sun was up by start time which was nice.

Making our way to the start line after the gun had blown! So many people! It took us about 7 minutes from gun time to cross the start line.

Wow! 8 years ago it was Easter morning and Mason joined our family. I remember them showing him to me then quickly taking him from the room. He had swallowed some amniotic fluid and was having trouble breathing. Once I got to the recovery room they brought me these poloroid pictures and that is all I had of my baby for the next 12 hours until I was able to get into a wheelchair and go see him. I was overwhelmed with all of the tubes and monitors but so glad to finally see my baby. He spent the next 3 days in the N.I.C.U.

But 8 years later look what I get to hold now!

We love this boy! Definatly never a dull moment with Mason! We are so proud of you Mason.

Inspiration vs. Insanity!!!!

I started running about 5 years ago. Basically for exercise to help lose weight. I cried during the first 5k race I ran, it was so hard. I a have taken breaks to have a baby, for injuries, etc. I have decided that the worst part of stop running is to start back up. It is hard!

I Have an awesome running group! Rain or snow no matter what the conditions are I know anywhere from 1-8 women will be waiting on the corner at the dreadfully dark hour of 5:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. Some mornings I think I am so slow or I suck at running. Really I have to keep telling myself "you are out here at 5 freaking 30 in the morning running 4 -12 or more miles!" (depending on the day) Nothing sucks about me doing that right? My running group keeps me going and I love them all for that! In January I ran My first Half Marathon, It was hard but so inspiring. Running has become so emotional for me. There was a blind lady running that race. I find myself pondering if this is hard for me, How much harder it is for other people. I find myself in tears many times during the races. This past weekend I ran another Half Marathon. I saw a father pushing his son in a wheelchair, tears. A family with a picture of a teenage boy that lost his fight to cancer, tears. I found myself with tears for my Dad and many other family members that ran a hard race and fought hard and won but also lost (I don't think anyone can lose that race I think the loss is those left behind) tears. I also thought of Carson and how lucky he is with the outcome of his Cancer but also his life has forever been changed, tears. These thoughts and more got me through my race.

I have come to love running. Which is very crazy for me. I have never liked exercise let alone love it! A few weeks ago my good friend who is training for The Ogden Marathon was running her 16 mile run. I told her I would run the first 12 with her, when it came time for her to turn off a finish her last 4 miles, I was feeling good and decided to continue with her. I had my phone I could call for a ride home but I didn't, I RAN 16 MILES!!!! This is where the thoughts entered my head "I could maybe run a Marathon". CRAZY!!! Well the next week I heard my neighbor was injured and can't run the marathon and is looking for someone to take his bib. So at church I mentioned to him if anyone had taken it and before I knew it it was mine. CRAZY!!!! So come May 21 I will be running the Ogden Marathon. One thing I never thought I would do. But I know I can do hard things and there are alot of people out there that have to do harder things!

January is a very crazy month. In many ways each year exciting things happen but things will always be there that make us a little sad. This Year......

JIM CELEBRATED HIS 40TH BIRTHDAY!!!

NATALIE COMPLETED HER FIRST HALF MARATHON IN ST. GEORGE! Hoping to finish in 2 1/2 hours I was more than thrilled to finish at 2:16.

Mason has grown his hair a little longer. He always says "the girls are going to love me!" Mr. Personallity never a dull moment!

Carson marked the one year anniversary of his Hodgkins Lymphoma Diagnosis and still remains healthy. Prayers are answered.

Jaxon is sure growing up fast! His voice sure does shock alot of people. This is his favorite time of year because baseball practice starts up again.

I cannot believe how fast these guys are growing and I count my blessings every day that they are ours!

The Reason for the Season!

I love the Christmas season. Over the past few days I have been forced to reflect what it really means to me. It may have been a conversation with Mason about his guilt of knowing it is about giving not receiving but he really, REALLY likes receiving. Or conversations with others of traditions being carried on, or those being set aside for a man to provide for his family. As I reflect on the many conversations, feelings and traditions, I know that a few things are true, Christ was born and because of that we have this season, It will come again in another 12 months and traditions that have been set aside can happen once again. This year for me I am looking back over the last 12 months and the economy has changed, I have spent more time in doctors offices and at Primary Childrens Hospital than I had ever dreamed . I have never been in such a humbling place and have never left there without tears in my eyes realizing the trials those children are faced with. Each time we leave the hospital and see all of the License plates from surrounding states we are reminded that once again we are blessed because we get to go home to our own beds and family! So this year Christmas will come and I am thankful for our Savior, The Gospel and above all, a husband that loves and provides for my family and 4 boys that bring me JOY, a 10 year old that has kept a smile on his face being faced with things no child should be faced with and once again we are blessed that no nights having been spent in hospitals or hours in clinic receiving treatments that have awful side effects and great healing power. I know this year my family has truly been blessed and we have grown from our trials. May you all have a Happy Holiday season and truly remember why it is celebrated!

I cannot even believe it has been 2 years. This little guy has grown too fast!
