WOW! I Love Spring!

Spring is always a great time of year for us, however, my blogging has taken the back burner (not that it has ever been fully on the front). So this week it all started full force. You all know Jaxon has been in baseball for a couple months but this week Jim, Carson and Mason began, so on top of 2 Cub Scout den meetings and 2 Karate classes (thank heaven C & M are in the same class and on the same baseball team) we can now have 7-10 games/practices a week. Which I am not complaining I know a lot of people whose schedules are worse than ours. As overwhelming as our schedule gets, I love this time of year, spending most evenings at the park and unfortunately my house and yard get little attention. I have decided a clean house, as wonderful as it is, just doesn't last long enough. Years past the house thing stresses me out but having a baby around again I have realized childhood doesn't last long enough either, so I am going to really try and just enjoy our spring chaos. This is kind of a long post but here is what we have been up to the last month.
Mason turned 6 years old! WOW! I can't believe it. Around our house we don't just celebrate one day, we have to at least make a weekend of it at minimum. So it all began Saturday with a friend LEGO party. I love LEGO's other than the pinata the kids pretty much wanted to play LEGO's so we bagged the other games and let them play. Sunday we had his family party, and Monday he got to choose our activity and with a little influence from his brother's we headed to CHUCK E. CHEESE'S.

" Where a kid can be a kid"

"Mother of the year" I even made a LEGO cake.

HAPPY EASTER!
Dressed all fancy for church Easter Sunday.

Easton, now 6 months, has had a very triumphant month he has mastered rolling over! He can get from his back to his stomach, he just gets really mad because he hasn't figured out how to roll back to his back. He will have his check up soon so I will post his stats then. He is happy as can be, full of giggles, sleeping 10 plus hours at night and naps great, he loves meal time, sweet potatoes and pears are his favorite.

Another ball game in the rain and cold!

Carson has taken up fly fishing! Unfortunately all of those pictures are on a disposable camera so I will post them later. He loves it and according to him has almost caught a few fish. He loves going fishing because it is just him and his Dad. Good one on one for Carson! He also had his first official Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts, He loves scouts.

Jaxon also participated in the Pinewood Derby but I think his highlight was when over spring break the Bandits won the Spanish Fork Pizza Factory Invitational Tournament. It was awesome, cold and rainy. The Bandits did great going undefeated and winning the championship game after at one time being down 6-1 and came back to win 11-10! Way to go Bandits!
Even at scouts, I really don't think the hat comes off!

Bandits are # 1!

And that is how we have kicked our spring!
Today while shopping, a lady in front of me looked at Easton and told me since she was about 12 weeks along in her pregnancy her doctor had been telling her she was having a boy, she already had 2 girls so they were thrilled But now at 20 weeks and after a lot of shopping (she was doing a big return) he said oh, I think its another girl. She asked if she was missing out not having a boy, I explained he was boy # 4 and I am pretty biased, I LOVE MY BOYS! Looking at all these pictures just makes me smile and realize how lucky I am that they are mine!

March Madness

3RD place! Way to go Bandits!
We just spent our weekend in St. George (Southern Utah) For the March Madness Tournament. Jaxon had 2 games scheduled for Thursday and 2 games scheduled for Friday. The Bandits won all 4! Yeah Bandits! Which meant another day at the ball field, Saturday their first game at 11:30, They won so they played again at 1:30 unfortunatly they lost to the Las Vegas Bulldogs (who won the tournament) but still got to play again for 3rd place. 7 games in 3 days, 6-1 for the tournament. We will take it!
You can always tell when Jaxon is happy with his pitch by his "Joba fist pump"!

Jim, The official Bandits scorekeeper.

Mason The Bandits Mascott

Jaxon winding up.

Easton, happy it is 80 degrees not 50 like last months tournament! No blankets and coats!

With only 9 players the Bandits invited Carson to be the emergency sub in case anyone got injured or sick. He didn't get any field time but he was a big help keeping the dugout picked up or helping the catcher with his gear or any other tasks he found.

Legos! the best invention ever! Mason can be entertained for hours at the ball park with a box of Legos and a blanket.

It was a fun baseball filled weekend with lots of sun. Nothing better than a nice warm day at the ball park when your team is winning!

Easton had his 4 month check up last week. WOW! He is definately not malnourished! He weighs 15 Lbs. 10 Ozs. He is growing up way to fast!
It was an exciting family event to watch Easton eat cereal for the first time. The boys were quiet entertained!!!

He has learned to love his cereal and fruits and veggies which I'm sure won't last he is a Knight boy!!!

We Love You Easton!

We are so excited about our new cousin and hope some day that 4 month gap in size kind of closes between him and Easton!!!!

ST. GEORGE

Over Valentines Day we spent the weekend in St. George for Jaxon's first Baseball Tournament. Baseball in February in Utah! I know it is crazy but what does the Mom know? I know it is a joy to see Jaxon so passionate and excited about this sport. He truly is his happiest playing ball I am however trying to get him to be so passionate about his reading goal for school. Yeah, not going so well! while in Southern Utah we went to Snow Canyon our boys don't enjoy hiking they enjoy climbing, so call it what you want, they had a blast while me and Easton hung out in the car. The weather was a bit colder than I had hoped for.
GO BANDITS!!! The Bandits walked a way 2-2 for the Tournament not bad for not having an outdoor practice since July. Jaxon pitched and played first base and outfield. He did awesome!

Me and Easton stayed bundled and only missed 1 game because it was too cold. Jim hung out in the dug out as the official Bandits scorekeeper and unfortunatly it is really hard to be mom to an infant and family photographer at the ball park so the camera took the back burner.

The most supportive brothers in the world! Carson and Mason rarely complain about going to the games but as I say sometimes we just have to buy their love at the ball park nothing a few trips to the snack bar and maybe a few Legos can't solve! So off to a great season and back to St. George for the March Madness Tournament in 2 weeks. We love these mini vacations!!!

Crazy Boys!

Where does time go? Easton is almost 4 months old. He is so much fun. He was sick for the first time this last weekend, just a little cold. He would scream all day but sleep fine at night (thank heavens for that). He is starting to play with toys and is for the most part always happy!

Mason started his first season of basketball, he sure doesn't share his brothers love for sports which is totally frustrating for Jim and Jaxon, I think it is all about being with his friends which is fine with me. Jim will try to teach him about the game and one Saturday on the way to his game he said " no more basketball talk ok Dad" . maybe before the season is over he will SHOOT & SCORE but then again maybe not! We love you Mason!

Finally!! Around Thanksgiving the dentist told Carson he needed to work with his front teeth and get them out, his other teeth were right there waiting to come in, he told him they should be out by Christmas. Finally last week Carson sat down and worked with one of them and pulled it himself the Tooth Fairy left him $2, now one more to go. Way to go Carson!!

Baseball already? I know and he has been practicing since the first of January. We leave tomorrow for Jaxon's first tournament tomorrow in St. George. Jaxon is in heaven. He got his new hats last week and can't decide which is cooler, he has even been found sleeping in them, I think he looks pretty cute in any hat. We will let you know how the Tournament goes when we get back. GO BANDITS!

Yarri

Yarri having been a part of our family for 14 years passed away yesterday.
It was a hard day for all of us. Yarri was a good dog, our boys have never known life with out him, he was Jim's hunting companion for years and he will be missed very much.
